Middle-aged and perplexed Mark Nektalov decides to help people and donates an organ to save a man’s life. Mark had a turbulent past. When he was 20 years old, his family and friends neglected him. A disconnect with the past, not knowing how to live in the present, and not having a family support, neither that of his community, Mark finds himself in a position of changing the fate of his long-distance relative. As it happens, this relative has played an important role in Mark’s childhood back in Samarkand, Uzbekistan. This coincidental encounter changes the course of events for everyone. Mark saves a life and as a result, he gains respect from his family and his community.
